How do frogs jump?
A frog hops and leaps in just the same way as it swims. It lifts its front legs off the ground and pushes off with its powerful back legs. The pressure forces open the large webbed feet, giving the frog a firm base from which to jump. It lands on its front legs and chest and then gathers in its back legs, ready for another leap.
