What is a stick insect?
Stick insects have long thin bodies with brown or green colouring that makes them look just like the twigs or leaves they sit on. Their enemies, such as birds or lizards, often fail to see them. If they are attacked, stick insects fall to the ground and lie still, once again becoming difficult to see.
