What is a Manx cat?
The Manx cat is a very distinctive breed which is best known for its lack of tail. It first came from the Isle of Man, an island in the Irish Sea. Manx cats have long legs for their size, with thickset bodies. Their colour is like that of a tabby or wild cat, with stripes and blotches of various shades of brown and grey-brown. Manx cats are popular as a show breed and are often kept as pets.
