Immune Moths
|
When collectors used to catch and kill moths in cyanide bottles, they were puzzled when the poison had no effect on burnet moths. Scientists eventually discovered that the moths give off hydrogen cyanide themselves as protection against predators. As a result, they are almost immune to it.
