Flying Lizard
|
Some flying lizards, such as the flying dragon, can escape attack from a predator or swoop on food by leaping from tree to tree. The lizard's 'wings' are actually folds of skin stretched over very long rib bones that stick out from the sides of its body. They act as a parachute and give the impression that the lizard is flying.
