High-rise Ponds
Plants called bromeliads grow on certain trees. This species only has roots as a seedling. It lives in dry habitats and absorbs water from the atmosphere. Other species trap rainwater in 'tanks' formed by their vase-shaped leaves. Tree frogs swim and lay their eggs in these tiny ponds.
